welcome

Welcome to ‘Moments of Mood’ where Thursdays and Saturdays are for gratitude and growth. I'm thrilled to have you onboard for this journey through the lens of photography and artistry.

Before we begin, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Matt Jacob—a photographer, pilot, entrepreneur, and enthusiast of all things art. Check out my video here to get to know me a little.

(Side note, most of my connections have come through my audience members just DM’ing me. I don’t leave any messages unanswered so feel free to reach out!)

So, what can you expect from Moments of Mood? Well, it takes 2 forms, each sent once per week:

  1. Photography experiences, lessons and takeaways (Saturdays)

  2. Podcast insights, clips and fun facts from the best in the business (Thursdays).

In essence, I'm here to guide you towards 3 key objectives:

  1. Become a Better Photographer: whether you're an aspiring photographer or a seasoned artist, expect actionable tips and insights to hone your skills and unlock your creative potential;

  2. Cultivate Personal Growth: disclaimer—I'm far from qualified to give any advice, and as such I will not, but I aspire to inspire, and I hope the byproduct of my shared experiences and philosophical musings is one that fosters curiosity, introspection and inspiration—photography, philosophy and personal development intersect in so many ways (flash news, none of us are perfect).

  3. Join a Vibrant Community: photography is more than just a hobby—it's a shared passion and art form that unites us and garners ‘belonging’. I’ve found this so difficult to find in the past and I wish I had something I felt I belonged to when I was trying to grow with photography. Join my IG broadcast list, Facebook group and future online school (stay tuned)—or just reach out to me one-on-one!

On another side note (yes, I like side notes!), this newsletter serves as my online photography journal—a space for introspection, growth, and connection for me. Of course I’m far from perfect, but because of that I have a lot of lessons I can offer, and I'm committed to sharing my journey—successes, failures, and everything in between.

Consider me your personal photography mentor, delivering bite-sized stories and actionable tips every Thursday and Saturday —a quick dose of inspiration in no more than 3 minutes. Speaking of which, have you taken the chance while it lasts to download my FREE eBook? If not, use the link below. You can also still get access to my lighting tutorial as well...
